 The Vietnam Cookery Center is proud to present Sebastien Laval, who has taken most of the pictures on this website.Independent photographer from Poitiers since 1993, Sebastien has discovered Vietnam in 1995, when shooting for the “Vietnam Discovery Rally on motorbike and 4wd”.
Switching between professional works and personal projects, he works since 1996 on the Ethnic Minorities of Vietnam, with the purpose to make known through his pictures, the extraordinary cultural richness that constitute this out-of-common heritage of these Minorities.
The first exposition on the Pa Then Minority has been held at the Vietnam Ethnologic Museum from December 2006 to April 2007. The Vietnamese people have discovered an Ethnic that they have hardly known or heard about, and the exposition has been widely covered by the Vietnamese press.
More pictures were shown at the Hue Festival, of the Highlands Ethnics.
